n 1964, the Pieta was sent to New York for the World Fair. Because of his links with the Sacred Music Institute of Manhattanville College, and at the request of the Arch Diocese of New York, Robert Hupka was asked to choose the musical extracts for the Vatican Pavilion, where the Pieta was exhibited, and also to take a photograph for the souvenir album.
